Winter Wonderland

Good morning!

My first card is an Easel Shaker card.
I have used DRS stamps: Snow Globe 368M, Penguin Snowball Blast 966K, North Pole Sign 518E, The Floor 360P and Say Hello At Christmas 1018F
I also used Memory Box snowflake dies, Lawn Fawn Cross Stitch Rectangle Dies, LifeStyle Circle Dies, acetate and (miscellaneous fillers for the shaker).
I stamped the globe and then cut the circle out TO THE STRAIGHT LINE. Masked and stamped the floor (which is more like a shelf in this case). The penguins are stamped and colored on a separate piece of card stock.
I glued the acetate to the back of my opening and then cut a piece of fun foam the size of my globe panel and cut a hole in it, glued it to the back of the acetate to pop my front up, filled the acetate part with snow stuff and then covered the hole with my penguin image to seal.  I mounted this sandwich to a piece of 4 1/4" X 5" white card stock and set aside while I made my easel base.
The white card stock is 4 1/4" X 10" scored and folded in half then the upper part is scored and folded in half again.  Attach the image panel to the folded in half upper section of the base.  Now work on the inside.

Stamp and die cut the sentiment and snowflakes.
Sponge color on the inside of the card and on the outside of the sentiment panel.
Use foam tape or Fun Foam to pop up the sentiment, this will act as a "stop" for your image panel.

This next card is sort of a long narrow card (size is 7" X 4 3/4").
I started by stamping the new Village Rocks/Pond Edge 356F, masked and then used a stamp aligner to position the Christmas Village Pond 105H.  I then used the aligner to stamp the Christmas Village Cabin 212G, masked and used the aligner to stamp the Pine Tree Snowdrifts 320H.

After my scene was complete I colored and glittered everything.  I stamped the new Poinsettia Vine Corner 381G with VersaMark and embossed with Silver embossing powder on the two upper corners.  I did not stamp the complete stamp so that it did not stamp on the bridge.  I stamped the kid part of the Christmas Village 4 in 1 Accessories 119D and did a reverse image as well on a separate piece of white scrap then fussy cut both and also stamped the sentiment From My House At Christmas 1045E on a piece of white scrap and die cut.

Now Thanksgiving is past and we are in full swing for Christmas.
I'm looking forward to seeing decorations on the streets and watching Christmas about you?
Thanks for visiting today!

Santa and Friends

>> Friday, November 24, 2017

I was thinking about doing a crazy "Black Friday" card, but instead I figured I'd bring you a little peace and serenity today, especially if you're spending any part of the day shopping!

I stamped our new Santa with Birds Christmas Scene on white card stock using black ink and colored it with a combination of markers and watercolor pencils.  Once I finished sponging on the sky and snow I added some red marker dots to decorate the tree and layered it on green card stock.  The greeting was pieced together using the first 3 lines from our Simple Pleasures Christmas Greeting and the inverted corners were made using a circle punch.  Both layers were attached to my embossed background and then to a folded green card.

Thanks so much for stopping by

All is Calm Winter Scene

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

As the Mama of 2 young boys, I'm always on the lookout for some peace and quiet - even if it's just in stamping :) as my card today portrays.

I started my card by stamping our Pine Tree Snowdrifts on the left side of my card and then flipping the stamp over and stamping more snow on the right to finish it off.  Next I stamped our Village Pond with Bridge a little off center and then our new Village Rocks to the right of it all using black ink.  I added a few trees using our Village 4 in 1  Accessories.  For the sky I made a mask of the snowdrift and then punched out a 1" circle mask and sponged on several shades of blue ink and then stamped our All is Calm greeting using white ink and embossing powder. Everything was colored using a combination of markers and sponging.  I used a silver gel pen to add my sparkily stars.

Thanks so much for spending part of your holiday with us!!

Snowy Tag

Surprise!  Another Tag!

Yep, I am addicted!

I stamped the Triple Tree with snow image using my MISTI, then I took a water color brush and blurred up the lines.  I stamped it again and did the same three times.  Then I watercolored some blue to make my shadows and blur the green snowbank line a bit.

I then added a bit of new Deco Peace and Joy sentiment and the cardinal from the Santa with Birds Christmas Scene stamp.  Finished it all off with a bit of Snowtex and raffia.

This will dress up a gift bag wonderfully.

Hi Everyone,

Today's card share is based on my personal color preference when buying my poinsettias for the Christmas season. I always lean towards the pink, maroon and cream ones, rather than the bright red. It's all about trying to match my home decor :)

I started with the Poinsettia Vine Corner stamp and made a little frame by stamping it twice.  Inside I used the sentiment portion from the Three Wisemen Peace stamp and then colored it in using my Copic markers.  I die cut it using the curved rectangle dies and added a bit of sponging and glitter to the berries.

I embossed the background with large snowflakes and wrapped a ribbon around it to mimic a gift.  I adhered the sentiment to the center and finished it with a die cut frame and flowers with gem centers.

I don't think I could name a better gift to give our world, than peace on earth!  It's my heart's desire for sure.

May there be peace in your little corner of the world today :)

Merry Christmas to All...

Hi Everyone. My card today features the new Santa with Birds image. I had fun coloring this image and adding some shimmer here and there.

The Santa and birds image was stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with Copics. Some Nuvo Blizzard drops were added to his hat and the fur trim on his coat.  After the drops dried, I added some clear Wink of Stella to the snowy areas. The panel was die cut with a SB die, attached to the red panel and then to the white card base. Some white snowflakes were die cut and added to two of the corners. Red nail heads were added to the centers.

You can barely see, but on the inside the Interlocking Snowflakes Background image was stamped with Real Red ink along the bottom of the card.

So how are you doing with your stash of Christmas cards?  Hope you are further along than me!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Santa with Birds

>> Sunday, November 19, 2017

Good Morning all,

This new stamp would be perfect for that special card.

It really does not take that long color this image and it is just adorable. It's called Santa with Birds Christmas.

After coloring I added some frames and you have a Christmas card.

Have a wonderful day,
